Project overview
Following the sale of the Blackpool Road store near Deepdale Retail Park, the site closed in early September 2023 so conversion works could begin immediately. The programme was fixed by a committed reopening date, leaving no float in the sequence.
We acted as project manager and principal contractor, taking single-point responsibility for strip-out of the outgoing brand and the structural and partition alterations needed to reconfigure the sales floor and back-of-house areas.
The challenge
A committed reopening date with zero programme float, on a busy retail park with main road frontage and neighbouring units trading throughout.
Our solution
Mechanical, electrical and sprinkler services were reconfigured in full to the incoming retailer's technical standards, coordinated with refrigeration and specialist shopfitting so trades worked concurrently without compromising safety or quality.
